Create a wide open space for your clients to cast away the weight of trauma.
Learn the basics of the model developed by Tony Parmenter, and described in the Journal of Military & Veterans Health (2022).
Along with learning how to incorporate fly-fishing into personal EMDR practice, trained EMDR therapists learn additional ego state and mindfulness based methods for helping clients create a healing connecting between their own nervous system and the natural world. The act of fishing is just one part of using EMDR in this way. With your own sense of creativity and adventure, bringing EMDR into nature can allow a fun, engaging, peaceful, and long-lasting healing experience for your clients.
TF-EMDR trainings offer EMDRIA Continuing Education hours for EMDRIA-trained (or equivalent) EMDR therapists, and can be custom designed if needed.
